Terms of Use
Plain terms for a free site. The short version is that the wheel gives random answers for fun and for breaking ties, and every real decision stays yours.
Answers are random, not advice
The Yes or No Wheel picks its answer at random. It does not know anything about your question, it does not predict the future, and its answers are not advice of any kind. Nothing on this site creates a professional relationship.
Do not use a random answer to decide anything about health, medication, safety, money, legal matters or anything that is hard to undo. The guidance on this site about using the wheel, including the research it cites, is general information, not a recommendation for your situation.
You are responsible for the decisions you make, whether or not you follow the wheel.
What you may do here
- Use the wheel free, with no account, at home, in a classroom, on a stream or at an event.
- Share your result images and Ask a friend links anywhere you like.
- Show the wheel on screen during a stream, video or presentation.
- Quote a passage from our pages with credit and a link.
If you use the wheel to run a prize draw, giveaway or contest, you are responsible for following the rules that apply to it where you are, including any rules on how winners must be chosen.
What you may not do
- Republish our pages, text, graphics or design wholesale, or frame the site so it appears to be your own.
- Use Ask a friend links to send abusive, threatening or unlawful questions. A link carries whatever you type, and you are responsible for it.
- Use the site in a way that disrupts it for other people, such as automated requests at a rate that affects availability.
Fairness
The wheel is built to give every answer exactly equal odds, as described on the Test the Odds section, and the page includes a test so you can check that yourself. The answer comes from your browser's cryptographic random number generator, so the randomness ultimately depends on your browser and device.
Equal odds do not guarantee any particular outcome or pattern. Streaks happen by chance, and no result can be appealed or repeated.
Stickers and saved settings
Stickers and your sound setting are stored in your own browser. They have no monetary value, cannot be transferred, and can be lost if you clear your browser data or switch devices. We may change, add or retire stickers as the site develops.
Accuracy and corrections
The research described on this site is cited to its published sources. Even so, errors happen. If something here is wrong, email yesnodecides@gmail.com, ideally with your source, and it will be reviewed. Corrections are made openly.
Liability
The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of this site, including any decision taken after spinning the wheel. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not permit it to be limited.
Links and third parties
Pages link to external sources such as research publishers. Those sites are not under our control, and a link is not an endorsement. The site uses Google Analytics and may carry advertising in future. What that involves, and how to opt out, is set out in the privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
These terms will be updated as the site grows, for example when new tools or features are added. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Questions about these terms can be sent to yesnodecides@gmail.com or through the contact page.
